Craig Bromberg, digital strategist, writer, editor:

A little about me: Raised in Queens, NY, a graduate of Jamaica High School. Studied government at Oberlin; took an M.Sc., Econ. in History of Political Thought studying with Michael Oakeshott at the London School of Economics; came badk to the States and made performance art and music and wrote art criticism in and through the Whitney Museum’s Independent Study Program in Studio Art.

Writing continued, lots of magazines. User number 11 at Echonyc. 1989, The Wicked Ways of Malcolm McLaren, , my critical look at British popular culture, published by Harper & Row.

Executive editorial roles for Avenue (acting editor in chief), Time Warner (launch editor of Pathfinder.com), Disney (consultant to management, founding editor in chief of Booksfirst), Bertelsmann’s BOL.com (global and US editorial director); Ziff (launch executive editor, eShopper). Recent roles include editor in chief of Samsung’s brand publishing program; lead content strategist for Citibank’s Mortgage.com, the NY Daily News. Other recent stuff: getting married, having twins, moving to Brooklyn, and getting an MBA in management from NYU’s Stern School of Business.

My aim here is to help companies and digital thought leaders look more closely at how to create innovation in digital media through community, content strategy, social media, behavioral branding, and business strategy, backed up by years of experience working for the world’s biggest media, finance, and consumer electronics companies.
